Primary Problem:
War and terror. The Sudan has been in civil war for over twenty years. This war has spilled over on a second front into
Uganda because of a terror group called the Lord's Resistance Army.
How We Are Helping
We have two orphanages in this region: one in Nimule, Sudan and the other in Gulu, Uganda. Both are under the cover of
Shekinah Fellowship Children's Home. Since many of the children have been terrorized, raped, and battle intense
fear and depression, the homes become a safe haven for them to feel protected from the war, terror and the elements.
Because many have been raised to be culturally Christian, we are introducing them daily to the reality of an intimate
personal relationship with Jesus. Everyday they are fed, housed, and generally cared for. In this agrarian cultural,
we are able to teach them to raise much of their own food both meat and vegetable. For those with physical
disabilities, we have a small medical facility on site in Nimule. Because of the war, many children transition through
our orphanages as they have been rescued from the terrorist camps. We work to return the children to their families and
work with other organizations to supply basic food and material needs to sustain the families. All of our facilities
are used not only to help the children, but also to help the families surrounding each facility.
