The president partners with God

The Weekly Standard has reported that in a conference call with 1000 rabbis from across the nation Obama asked the group for aid in “accomplishing necessary reform” regarding the current healthcare bill. He went on to say during the conference “We are God’s partners in matters of life and death.”

Whoa-put the brakes on! First of all it takes a lot of guts (and arrogance) to think that humanity has the same power as God to hold the keys to life and death and second of all he just compared himself to God Almighty! “That which God has given let no man take it away”

But wait…isn’t this statement coming from the lips of the same man who said during his campaign that important matters of religion were “above his paygrade?”

Bottom line- this healthcare-or shall I say health-scare- reform is starting to sound a bit familiar. Can anyone say 1939?

The Health Choices Administration as a new administrative agency under the Executive Branch of the US. government as provided for in House Bill 3200 will without a doubt have an annual operating budget similar to that of the Social Security Administration or the Internal Revenue Service which each respectively have $10.5 billion and $10.0 billion operating budgets annually.  And it may be more.  From where is this money coming?  From tax dollars, of course, which makes you and me partners with God and the President in matters of life and death if this unnecessary legislation is passed.  Chilling is the word - simply put C-H-I-L-L-I-N-G.
     And, don't forget the new Commissioner of this Health Choices Administration has the power and authority to draft all of the regulations (yes additional law - in addition to the enabling statute - the House bill or the Senate bill or whatever bill is actually passed).  These regulations will be drafted to carry forth the purposes and specific provisions of the "enabling statute" - (i.e. a statute that permits an admistrative agency to be created with the authority to make administrative law in a specific area).  As such, the executive branch has authority through its Commissioner of this new agency to create law - albeit within the limits of the power granted in the enabling statute, but ergo the authority to have rulemaking on life and death matters!!
     I am an autonomous sovereign being who has free will to choose life and death health care related matters and do not welcome the President and the Commissioner of a federal Health Choices Administration into that forum.
     I wish that someone on that conference call would have asked the President what he meant by that comment - so we wouldn't have to speculate - just try to construe his answer.
