Drawing from an extensive background of experience and study, Ron Hembree is uniquely qualified for the task of calling people to a daily
disciplined study of God's Word. As host of the international television program Quick Study, this
media minister helps people establish the habit of daily Bible reading in easy-to-understand, bite-sized portions.
He was ordained at age 23 after having studied for ministry at Central Bible College, Southwestern Assemblies of God College, Evangel
College, Southwest Missouri State University, and St. Joseph's Catholic College. He has a Doctorate in Ministry from Phoenix Theological
Seminary and has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from an Illinois bible school. Ron started his career as a writer for the
national headquarters of his denomination.
He also worked as news editor for KWTO Radio in Springfield, Missouri, and has written hundreds of articles for various national
publications such as Billy Graham's Decision magazine, Christian Life, and others. He had a daily television
program called Rejoice which aired for seven years before starting Quick Study. He also originated the popular His Place television program that is now viewed on some 50 stations across the United States. He is author of
more than 60 books, some of which have been bestsellers.
Hembree served as Assistant Commissioner of Corrections for Arkansas under Governor Winthrop Rockefeller. While in that position, he
built two prison chapels and set up the chaplain's program for the state's prison system. He was publicly commended both by the Arkansas
House of Representatives and the Senate for this activity. He has also served as pastor of several churches during his ministerial
career.
Quick Study, the 5-day/week, 30-minute television program started January 1, 1990, in Pittsburgh, PA. Today, the program is
viewed on several satellite networks and seen in every state of the U.S., and every province of Canada. It is aired daily in the U.S. on
several religious networks, as well as appearing daily on several independent stations. Quick Study, Good Friends, Inc. also
produces a 30-minute weekly youth series called Just The Facts
and a children's program called The Adventures of Enoch. Quick Study has twice received the prestigious
Covenant Award given to religious programs nominated and elected for their excellence.
In March 2002, Good Friends, Inc. merged with Cornerstone TeleVision, formerly WPCB-TV, based in Pennsylvania.
One year later, Ron was appointed the new president of the ministry. CTVN is a viewer-supported network broadcasting
more than 100 different programs weekly, including nine original programs produced
locally and viewed over WPCB Channel 40, as well as reaching over 85 affiliated stations across the U.S. and via satellite through
C-Band dishes and SkyAngel.
Married to Cathy, and the father of eight children, Ron resides in Jeannette, Pennsylvania.
Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be as
bright as day. And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be
like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. Your sons will rebuild the long-deserted ruins of your cities, and you will be
known as The People Who Rebuild Their Walls and Cities.
Isaiah 58:10-12
It can't get any better than that!
