Cornerstone TeleVision reaches most of the North American continent, plus
Alaska and Hawaii.

- Founded by Russell Bixler
and incorporated in 1970 as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation,
Cornerstone TeleVision began broadcasting on April 15, 1979. Broadcast
facilities are located in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
- Through the powerful medium of satellite technology, the ministry of
Cornerstone TeleVision is sharing the Gospel of more then 100 affiliate
stations... with the potential of reaching over
52 million homes throughout the Western Hemisphere.
- A satellite up-link system permits Cornerstone TeleVision to broadcast on AMC-4 (101° W)
Channel 19, which enables Cornerstone TeleVision to reach most of the North American continent, plus Alaska and Hawaii. Other
viewers have responded from countries such as Canada, Jamaica, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, Columbia, French Guiana, Barbados, Venezuela,
the Bahamas, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
- Cornerstone TeleVision also broadcasts on Sky Angel,
a Christian-owned and-operated direct-to-home satellite service offering multiple channels of Christ-centered and
family-friendly TV and radio programming via the small 18-inch dish.
- In 2000 and 1998, Cornerstone TeleVision was named "Television Station of the
Year" by the National Religious
Broadcasters Association. In 1989, the station was awarded Broadcast
Facility of the Year by the NRB.
- Cornerstone broadcasts 24 hours-a-day and produces two daily programs and
fourteen weekly programs. Many programs are syndicated nationally and
internationally. Several programs have received national awards,
including the Telly, Angel, Communicator Awards, and the Pennsylvania
Association of Broadcasters' Award of Excellence.
- Cornerstone's annual budget is approximately $7.2 million. Over 80% of
that budget is received via donations from viewers.
- Cornerstone TeleVision has contributed over $500,000 to various ministries
worldwide. Special emphasis is given to incarcerated viewers and the
families.
- Over the last 20 years, over 15,000 viewers have phoned to say they have
come to Christ as a direct result of the daily program, Focus
4 (formerly Getting Together).
- More than 1.1 million viewers have called the Cornerstone TeleVision
Prayer Line requesting someone to pray with them.
