Ron Hambree
Paul Bixler
Interim Chief

Operating Officer

Son of the founders of Cornerstone TeleVision, Russ and Norma Bixler, Paul attended Oral Roberts University where he received a B.S. in Telecommunications and a minor in Business. While in Tulsa, OK, he had a promising career at KJRH-TV, an NBC affiliate. Upon graduating, he felt a strong call to drop “his” career plans and commit himself to the fledgling TV ministry in Pittsburgh. “I decided that obedience to God was more important than my career plans.”

On staff since 1979, Paul has served in many roles of the production aspects of Christian television: director of our locally produced programs, producer of inspiring testimonies and feature stories and also quality control of our on-air look. He has been the producer/editor of the award winning program, Origins, which offers a forum to use scientific evidence to validate the truth of creation.

“…I carry with me the burden of responsibility and a passion for the mission. In my spirit, I sense a new boldness, with the courage to march forward and take new ground. At Cornerstone TeleVision we’re in the business of touching lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are part of something that God established us to build. We can never take our eyes off the prize. There are too many lost people who won’t go to church, but will sit for hours in front of a TV screen in their home. There’s a job to do and we must press on. It’s a job we need to do until Jesus returns again!“

Chuck Alexander
Adinistrator & CFO

Chuck spent his first twenty-one years working in various accounting and administrative positions in a Fortune 500 aerospace manufacturing corporation. This served as a training ground which prepared him well to go into the not-for-profit world. He served the Lord in a like capacity at a mega church for the next seventeen years prior to joining the staff at Cornerstone Television. As the CFO and Administrator of CTVN, Chuck considers it a great privilege to serve the partners, staff, and leadership of such a dynamic organization.  He is married to Rigmor and the father of five grown children.

Nancy Auman
Director of Development

Nancy brings a wealth of experience from her years in the American Red Cross, The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. Her challenges are to “Friend Raise” and gather resources by partnering with individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations to strengthen Cornerstone TeleVision. “Cornerstone Partners know the blessing of having their financial gifts reach out to a lost and dying world through the most powerful communication tool in history—television.  Now, more than ever, the Good News of Jesus needs to get into homes, prisons and mission fields,” said Auman.

Please don’t hesitate to contact Nancy at 412-349-4327 or nauman@ctvn.org.”

Steve Johnson
Director of Operations

Raised at his parents’ gas station, Steve still enjoys getting his hands dirty once in a while.  After graduating from Uniontown High School in 1980, Steve found himself playing bass guitar for a local Christian band on a Channel 40 telethon. This “behind the scenes” experience at the TV studio led straight to California University of Pennsylvania for a Bachelor’s degree in Communications.
In his Junior year at college, Steve joined the Cornerstone Production team as an intern. At the end of the internship, a cameraman position was offered and a television career was started. As Director of Operations, Steve coordinates the Production, Engineering, Master Control, Feature Producers and IT. He is grateful for the years has served at Cornerstone and is looking forward to many more.

Tom Hollis
Director of Broadcast Service

In 1977 while attending Slippery Rock University, Tom read what would become his life verse, “But life is worth nothing unless I use it to do the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus; the work of telling others the good news about His mighty kindness and love.”(LB)

From that springboard, Tom has sought to spread the good news of God’s love in as many ways as possible.  His college years were spent as a student volunteer with Campus Crusade for Christ.  It was during this time that he met his wife Jean. The couple eventually joined Youth with a Mission (YWAM).  Tom was a Training School Director with YWAM, as well as leading many evangelistic outreaches.

In 1997, Tom joined the staff of Cornerstone TeleVision as Telephone Ministry Coordinator. He served in that capacity for over ten years. In 2008 he became the Director of Broadcast Service for Cornerstone.  Tom is charged with filling Cornerstone’s broadcast day with entertaining programs that will evangelize and encourage our viewers. In addition, Tom oversees Cornerstone’s program producers, website, and prayer staff.

Tim Burgan
Mission's Director

Every morning Tim starts his day with the same prayer, “Lord, break my heart with the things that break your heart, help me to see people and circumstances the way you see them, and teach me how to be a man 100% sold out to you.” This prayer has been the guiding principle of Tim’s life since he committed his life to Christ over 40 years ago. With degrees in Communications, Religious Studies, and Social Science, without planning for it, Tim was destined to serve the Lord in ministry.

Tim began a ministry in broadcasting in 1976 when as a teenager he began working in Christian radio.  In 1980 Tim began his ministry in television when he served as an intern at WPCB TV 40.  Since then he has had the privilege of serving the Lord and CTVN in nearly every position.

Feeling personally called by God to help disciple and equip people to change their world for Jesus’ sake, Tim has ministered around the globe through crusades, seminars, street evangelism, tent meetings, television, radio, and the Internet.  He has shared with presidents, world leaders, street people, the poorest of the poor, and one Pope about the call of Christ. Tim has used whatever means of communication he can to present Jesus in a way that anyone would be able to understand. His travels have taken him to some of the most dangerous and challenging places; from Iraq to the streets of New York City, from the Siberian plain to Sudan, traveling to over 90 countries.

Through the program “His Place,” Tim was able to show people that Christianity is about living your life for Christ 24/7, and now through the “Rescuers” television program, he is able to showcase the good things God is doing and the real heroes of our world.

Tim oversees Cornerstone TeleVision’s Outreach to the world. He has the privilege of sharing the gifts and prayers of our partners to help hundreds of thousands of abandoned and broken people around the world, rescuing those who would otherwise have no hope.

Tim can be reached regardless of where he may be in the world by e-mail at tburgan@ctvn.org
